I have been reading your sight for quite some time now, and yeah i guess it has sunk in that im in the wrong. You are right trench, everyone you have talked about on this site, what they have done did nothing to make their lives or anyone else’s any better, and i guess life is just too short to hate everything all the time. Hi, I was Andrew’s friend since about 5th grade all the way until the end. He was a good kid until he went to a private school in 9th grade. I think that fucked him up an all guy school with no girls. He got into nazi shit but I tried to get him out of it you know “come with me to this party” but no he was so anti social and i knew he was all fucked in the head i thought i could stop him from being all fucked up and then I saw it on the news about his terrorist plot I was blown away. I just got out of Macomb County Jail today for a Breaking and Entering charge and while I was there I recieved a letter from him. I dont know how he found out I was there but he wrote to me. he is still a human being and i hope he gets the help he needs and I feel sorry for him and I will always be his freind even if he is crazy he deserves a second chance. I am very open minded and very tolerant I love all forms of life and all people and I am far from being a nazi no way in hell. I am also 100% polish so the nazi shit was personal that was one of the reasons i tried to help him feel free to email me with ne questions.

Just wandered in here from a google search. I was in the jury pool for the case, but I was not selected. I just can’t accept that this guy is going to go down because of things he said on the internet. Am I out of my mind for wanting to see those convictions appealed and beaten? I am in no place to judge him as innocent or guilty, but I am just not convinced that there is anything one can say on the internet that should result in 20 years of prison.

Wait, that is not what I meant. Sorry. All I meant was, convict him on charges of theft, illegal possesion of weaponry, whatever the specific charges were. Fine. But add another set of charges because he said something extreme on the internet? I agree, this guy needs to be taken seriously, I just wonder if email is the best way of determining who will be the next Eric Harris. From my experience in the court room, that does not describe this kid. I really like the web site though, way to go trench.

It’s like yelling “fire” in a crowded theater. Speech designed to incite or threaten is not protected. In the chat transcript he threatened to kill his dad, his brother, his pets, and shoot up his school so he could have followers. I think the jury reached the correct conclusion. We’ll see what the sentencing holds.

I was actually on the jury and you have to understand that not everyone got to read the actual transcripts. i don’t think that andrew is a “normal” person. I think that he was very misunderstood and i feel bad for that but the fact of the matter is this. We recieved the transcripts that were in evidence and after honestly reading those things over and over agian for about 6 hours we actually did conclude that there was an actual threat of terrorisim. When he is discussing “aking people” and about him not caring about weather there are 500 police around the school and that if someone is determinded to do something than they will do it then he refrences himself as that someone that was the line that convicted him. When i frist sat down in the box i will be the first to admit that i thought that he was guilty and if i ever get in trouble i would want leggio to be my lawyer. After a while of listening i didn’t think really didn’t think that he could have been convicted of these exact crimes. but again after reading the transcripts we all decided that it was true. I apologize to anyone that sides with him and i apologize to andrew himself but the fact is this…watch your mouth. i hope that he get some help i mean i am sure that he isn’t going to get the best help in prison but i sincerely hope that he gets it. Maybe next time he gets mad because his mom and dad don’t give him any love or support he will ask for a hug instead of filling his attic with guns. i really wish that those of you that didn’t get to sit in the court room could have just sat there and listened to EVERYTHING that was said and read EVERYTHING that was written. I felt awful about sending him to jail and then I ran into Mr. Kaplan after the verdict was read and he assured me and a fellow jurror that we did the right thing and eventually we wouldn’t really think about it everyday. well i am glad if i could help you fill in the blanks. good night…by the way if anyone knows where there are andrew’s websites i would really be interested in seeing those and reading what he actually had to say. what in the sam hell is this about??? Is this about Andy from Michigan that was in teh air force reserves??? I was married to his uncle..we divorced 3 years ago. I was looking his name up on line to see if anything had happened to him in the war. WHAT THE HELL is this? Someone please tell me if this is Andy from Michigan. Clinton Township I believe. If you look him up on the Michigan Dept. Of Corrections website, it say his count one was “False Report or Threat of Terrorism”. When was it determined that his threat was a false one???

It wasn’t. It’s considered two separate offenses. Hence the term “False Report or Threat of Terrorism”. He was convicted under the threat of terrorism part.

I for one am happy for the verdict. I can’t agree with some that say they can’t figure out if he is guilty or not. Having a child in the school where the threat was issued, is a very scary thing. I am thankful to the jury that did sent him to jail. I just don’t want to see anything happen to so many inocent children, just because one person has some emotional, or mental problems. Too many things pointed in the direction that something was definetly wrong with that child. We as parents and the students can rest easier knowing that Osantowski will not be coming by anytime soon.
